The Alter Duo, created in 2015, offers a magnificent musical journey highlighting the lyricism and virtuosity of the double bass. Designed around original pieces and transcriptions, the program subtly alternates works by great composers and lesser-known pieces taken from the double bass repertoire. Communicating on stage, their musical complicity, they travel the roads of France and Europe to meet new audiences.
These two endearing personalities, enriched by their atypical and excellent backgrounds, make the Alter Duo a unique formation, both in its objectives (to discover the sounds and repertoire of the double bass) and during its performances (interactions with the audience, musicological anecdotes…).
