Trio Moghâni
MOGHÂNI TRIO
Camille BORDET. mezzo-soprano
Mostafa TALEB. karmancheh
Jérôme BERTIER. piano
The Moghâni Trio brings together melodies of the romantic era and Persian music on the same stage. It is a story of love, a story of friendship, a musical and poetic dialogue between Europe and Persia, a powerful sensitive experience, a brotherhood that disarms frameworks and borders.
The interest of the three artists for their different musical languages, their taste for improvisation and poetry leads them to explore the repertoire of melody, which they reinterpret in terms of a new musical grammar.
Their first concerts, in France and Belgium, allow them to develop a rich and varied program. The enthusiasm of their audience, wherever they perform, is unanimous.
Program
Centered around the theme of travel and exile, be it geographical, phantasmagorical or mystical and covering almost ten centuries of music, it brings together French melodies (Duparc, Massenet, Poulenc, Ravel), a Latin meditation (Von Bingen), and Persian melodies transmitted by the Iranian masters since the dawn of time, on texts of immense figures of Persian literature such as Rumi and Hâfez.
