Martha HUMBERT DUNOYER. flute
Santiago VERA CANDIOTI. guitar

Inés CUELLO. voice

This line-up was born from the meeting between the duo formed by Martha Humbert Dunoyer and Santiago Vera Candioti with singer Inés Cuello.

In 2020, the French flutist and the Argentinian guitarist decided to create a repertoire consisting of original arrangements and mainly oriented towards the so-called “campera” music, tango, as well as Argentine song.

Two years later, they received a scholarship from the Instituto Nacional de la Música to record their work, which they named “Para la tierra de uno”, which will be composed of ten pieces belonging to a traditional repertoire and relatively unknown outside its borders.

The two musicians then invite Inés Cuello to interpret some of the songs on this album imbued with the nostalgia that characterizes the airs of the Argentine pampa.

Original arrangements on traditional music called “Campera” (La Milonga triste, El aguacero …), tango (Nunca tuvo novio …) and Argentine song.

Mixing sometimes the bucolism of a work such as ‘El aguacero‘ with the dark and heartbreaking text of ‘La Milonga triste’, while going through the somewhat wild and seductive rhythm of the tango ‘Nunca tuvo novio‘, the three performers manage to develop a style that is unique to them, while preserving the essence of the various traditions that make up the universe of this project.
